of Islamic paradise
gardens, is known to
have inspired the Taj
Mahal and many later
Mughal tombs. This type
of garden is known as
a charbagh and is based
on a grid.

House This is a huge circular, colonnaded
building where the Indian parliament meets.
President
House Situated on Raisina Hill this
was built to be the official residence of the
Viceroy, and later became the official residence
of the President of India

Bangla Sahib Sikh shrine, Gurudwara
Bangla Sahib is situated in the heart of New
Delhi's Connaught Place area. Originally this
place was the Bungalow(haveli) of Mirza Raja
Jai Singh, hence the name Bangla Sahib. Its
original name was Jaisinghpura Palace. Mirza
Raja Jai Singh was an important military leader
of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb.
Lakshmi
Narayan Temple This enchanting temple
is located west of Connaught Place and was build
by Raja Baldev Das in 1938. The temple is dedicated
to the goddess of prosperity and good fortune
& is commonly known as the Birla Mandir.
