7th Asian Biophysics Association (ABA) Symposium Travel Awards

Applications are invited from PhD/PDFs for ABA travel award from those who have already submitted their abstract through the 7th ABA website (www.abaibs2011.com) by NOVEMBER 15, 2010. Applicants are required to submit their application form (see below) to be considered for travel award with the copy of their abstract they submitted to ABA by e-mail to: Prof. H.B. A maximum of 14 awards will be given, with 2 awards to each of the 7th ABA member societies at an amount of US$ 500 or $1,000 per award, depending on the cost of economy airfare from home country to Delhi.

Deadline for application:
30 November 2010. This deadline is only for submitting your application to be considered for travel award. You should have uploaded your abstract at the ABA website by November 15, 2010.

Review:
The applications from each country will be assigned to the member society of that country for review and selection.

Award Presentation:
Each awardee is required to give a 15 min (12+3 minutes) talk at a special session during the 7th ABA Symposium. A certificate will be presented during that session and the monetary award will be sent by wire transfer to the awardee’s bank account after the conference.

NOTE: Only those who submitted their abstract through ABA website by November 15, 2010 would be considered for travel award.

Guideline for submitting abstract:
•    Use single space throughout the abstract and underline the name of the presenter.
•    Write numbers as numerals except at the beginning of the sentences.
•    The text of the abstract should be typed in the sentence case and should not exceed 250 words.
•    The abstract will go to the press as submitted and hence please proofread carefully.
•    Only *.doc or *.rtf files will be accepted.
•    The abstract should contain (a) title in sentence case, (b) authors and their affiliation (underline the
      presenting author), (c) specific aims and objectives, (d) methods, (e) observations, (f) results, and
      (g) discussion and conclusions of the study.
•    Your abstract should be uploaded in the ABA website by October 31, 2010 and the request for your
      application to be considered for travel award fellowship should be submitted by November 30, 2010.
