After Symposium Training

It is also planned to hold a SERC (DST) sponsored training school on “Biophysics in Medicine: Advanced Training in Experimental Imaging”, immediately after the 7th ABA. This school would contain a full one-day (February 03, 2011) lecture series on imaging aspects by experts from India and aboard for about 80 young researchers (PhD students, post-docs, young faculty) from India. There is a possibility to provide TA and DA to these participants and the registration fee for this one day training program is waived. Those willing to participate in this one-day special symposium would also have an opportunity to participate in the 7th ABA & the Annual meeting of the IBS that is being hosted prior to this event, however they have to pay the registration fee, as applicable, for attending the ABA symposium. The one day intensive lecture on imaging is followed by 5 days of advanced practical training on experimental MR imaging aspects for 10 researchers who will be selected from the registered participants of this training school before-hand. These 10 participants would be provided accommodation and food during their extended period of stay. Please contact the Convener before October 31, 2010 with your bio-data countersigned by your supervisor (in case of PhD scholars and PDFs) or the Head of the Department (for young Faculty).
