The minar (tower) was built in the year 1212 A.D and stands at a height of 72.5 mtrs in the courtyard of the Quwwat-ul-Islam masjid. This is the oldest historical monument in Delhi and is a must for any visitor to this city.

Lotus Temple It is the Bahai house of worship and a fairly recent construction, and is largely admired for its architecture.

Humayun's tomb is believed to have been designed by his widow. Its plan, based on the description of Islamic paradise gardens, is known to have inspired the Taj Mahal and many later Mughal tombs. This type of garden is known as a charbagh and is based on a grid.

Red Fort A fascinating building, built with red sandstones is an example of the rich Mughal architecture.Red Fort is a venue to the Independence Day parade of India.
Jama Masjid Is the biggest masjid in India, built by Shahjahan in 1650 A.D.
India Gate Originally known as the All India War Memorial, built in the memory of the 90,000 Indian soldiers killed in the First World War, is a free standing arch with a height of 42.5 mtrs, designed and built by Edwin Lutyens in 1931.
Parliament House This is a huge circular, colonnaded building where the Indian parliament meets.
President House Situated on Raisina Hill this was built to be the official residence of the Viceroy, and later became the official residence of the President of India.

Gurudwara Bangla Sahib Sikh shrine, Gurudwara Bangla Sahib is situated in the heart of New Delhi's Connaught Place area. Originally this place was the Bungalow(haveli) of Mirza Raja Jai Singh, hence the name Bangla Sahib. Its original name was Jaisinghpura Palace. Mirza Raja Jai Singh was an important military leader of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb.
Lakshmi Narayan Temple This enchanting temple is located west of Connaught Place and was build by Raja Baldev Das in 1938. The temple is dedicated to the goddess of prosperity and good fortune & is commonly known as the Birla Mandir.
Cathedral Church This extremely simple church was built on a design based by Henry Medd, a British born architect. It took around eight years to build the church, completed in the year 1933. The style and architecture resembles that of the Free Church in Hampstead Garden Suburb. The church is marked by austere exteriors but magnificent interiors. The outer side of the church is designed with red sandstone roofing.

A long line of picturesque ghats - with their steps leading to the water's edge, arched gateways and temple spires extending along the right bank of the River Yamuna, emphasize the sacred character of the town of Mathura. Vrindavan today, is noted for its numerous temples.

Agra is globally renowned as the city of the Taj Mahal, a monument of love and imagination that represents India to the world. It is a town that lives mainly in the past. Once the seat of the Mughal rulers. The origin of the name the "Taj Mahal" is not clear. Court histories from Shah Jahan's reign call it the rauza (tomb) of Mumtaz Mahal. It is generally believed that "Taj Mahal" (usually translated as either "Crown Palace" or "Crown of the Palace") is an abbreviated version of her name, Mumtaz Mahal (Exalted One of the Palace).. Their passion for building endowed it with some of the loveliest buildings in the world - the Taj Mahal a poem in white marble which took 22 years to build by 20,000 skilled artisans who inlaid the white marble edifice with precious and semi precious stones. This monument is the culmination point of Indo-Persian architecture.

Haridwar means gateway to the Gods. Haridwar's propitious location at the point, where the Ganges emerges from the high Himalaya to begin its slow progress across the plains, makes it a particularly holy place. Rishikesh, 24 kms from Haridwar. Har ki Pauri is one of the most sacred ghats & this ghat was built by Vikramaditya in memory of his brother Bhartrihari. This ghat is also known as Brahmakund. In the evening a Maha Aarti is performed on this ghat. It is an event which is a must, not be missed by any visitor.
