Call for Abstract

The Organizing Committee invites abstracts for presentation at the 7th ABA and the Annual Meeting of the IBS. The accepted abstracts will be printed in the abstract book. 

Important
Only registered delegates will be allowed to attend the scientific sessions and make presentations.

Abstracts can only be submitted via this website.

Deadline for Abstract Submission 
10th November 2010

Intimation of Abstract Acceptance
After 15th December 2010

Guidelines for filling the Abstract form
• Use single space throughout the abstract and underline the name of the presenter.
• Write numbers as numerals except at the beginning of the sentences.
• Please select the appropriate "category".
• The text of the abstract should be typed in the sentence case and should not exceed 250 words.
• The abstract will go to the press as submitted and hence make sure that there are no mistakes.
Kindly upload *.doc or *.rtf files only.

Guidelines for Abstract Preparation
• The abstract should be informative containing (a) title in sentence case, (b) authors and their affiliation (underline the presenting author), (c) specific aims and objectives, (d) methods,    (e) observations, (f) results, (g) discussion, and (h) conclusions of the study.
• Avoid statements such as “results will be discussed”, etc.

All partcipants must register and pay the registration fee, however, abstract submission is not mandatory. If a partcipant is an author of mutiple abstracts but not a presenter but would like to attend the meeting, then he/she should register separately and pay the registration fee.

• Please retain a copy of the abstract for your records.

Abstract selection & Acknowledgement
• The decision of the Scientific Committee shall be binding and final.
• The abstract status shall be notified to the presenting author only after December 15, 2010.

Oral Presentations
• Each plenary presentation will be for 35 minutes (30 minutes + 5 minutes discussion), invited talk for 25 minutes (20 minutes + 5 minutes discussion) and oral presentations selected from submitted abstracts will be for 15 minutes (12 minutes + 3 minutes discussion).
• Only power-point presentations will be allowed. There is no provision for presentation on Apple platform. However, personal laptops can be used.
• Presentations can also be provided on a CD / Pen Drive.
• Presentations should preferably be submitted to the preview room a day prior to the presentation or at least six hours before the session.

Posters Papers
Posters must include introduction, aims & objectives, methods, observations, results, discussion and conclusions. Poster board will be of dimensions 1m x1m.
